During our 68 day campervan tour of NZ we have stayed in at least 45 sites ranging from very basic to super deluxe. But we have never had such an idyllic and peaceful camp as this one. Facilities are spotless. Our welcome was friendly and genuine. Sitting outside our camper with a wine/beer, watching sea lions frolicking was simply a bonus. Will we ever be able to return? I sincerely hope so!

Excellent facilities, everything for overseas visitors at no extra charge. Beautiful location to appreciate this southern part of New Zealand with homely hospitality from everyone. Thanks for making us feel so welcome in your lovely country.

We love the peace and tranquility of this place and close to the beach where we saw many sea lions! The facilities were excellent, better than we expected! It was kept very clean. The caretakers were very friendly and helpful.

This is the best holiday park we have stayed in by far! It is small and secluded, overlooking a spectacular estuary. It is extremely clean and quiet, and the owners are extremely friendly and helpful. If you are in the area you must visit!

Friendly welcome. Clean amenities. Great location. Small campground. Close to "Lions" beach. Everything right. Pleasant place. Second time we come here, specially to rest at Surat Bay. Happy to be here.

All facilities were excellent and clean. A perfect location, quiet and next to beach. Five minute walk along beach were sea lions on beach and in sand dunes. Proprietors were helpful and very friendly.

The services/amenities were excellent, always clean and accessible. The location is amazing, as I write this I'm sitting in my van watching two sea lions on a beautiful, sandy beach and the owner was very helpful, she even let us use her phone to make a call.

Perfect, cosy camp. Couldn't of picked a better site for my 14 girls to live for 4 days. Really nice and friendly hosts.

Facilities-clean, warm, neat and tidy. Everything we needed. Location -near the beach, cabins well spaced apart. Good value-other sites around seemed to charge more and offer less.

Excellent facilities and grounds. All very clean and beautifully presented and maintained. Close to interesting activities -beach and seals and lighthouse. A sense of isolation. Warm and friendly people (managers) - thank you. You brought a nice quality with you.
